First Semester: Matter and Energy: atomic structure and chemistry Force and Motion: Newton's laws of motion and our everyday lives Tectonic Processes and Mapmaking: study of Earth's topography Second Semester Weather and Atmosphere: study of the effect of solar energy on global climate Stars and the Universe: study of our solar system Organisms and Environment: study of interactions of organisms within ecosystems |
Classroom Expectations |
I have a limited number of "must follow" classroom expectations. Students are required to keep these in mind during each of my classes. Failure to comply with these expectations will result in consequences as outlined in my class syllabus. These are my "Fast Five":
1. SAFETY FIRST!!! 2. RESPECT yourself and others in all actions, words, and deeds. 3. Be prompt and ready to work. 4. FOLLOW directions the first time they are given. 5. EXPERIENCE science safely and do not interfere with others’ learning. 6. NO food or drink in the science lab, except as allowed by Mrs. Langford. |
